Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
The creation does not exist on its own. If God did not create it and maintain
its existence, it would not be. “For by Him were all things created,
that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether
they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things
were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and by
Him all things hold together and have their proper place (they consist).”
Colossians 1:16-17 He brought all creation into being from absolute
nothingness. We see that the creation, even as it exists within its own
framework, is the expression of His intent. God has established the nature
of all things and has laid the foundation for all relationships.
God has determined that the revelation of His nature, His character and
existence will be imparted to us through relationship. The nature of the
relationship that God has established, that reveals the fullness of His
intention is Sonship. God has chosen to be known to us as having personality.
The mystery of creation is established in His Son. His Son is the only
begotten, establishing Sonship as the ultimate form of manifest
expression. Everything related to creation, everything related to
salvation, everything related to transformation, everything
pertaining to bringing forth, everything related to gathering in
is affected through this relationship. That’s powerful. Transformation
is framed as a relationship. “That which we have seen and heard declare
we unto you, that you also may be in a divine relationship with us: and
truly we declare that we have an intimate relationship with the Father,
and with his Son Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:3
We are called and chosen to be conformed to the image of His Son Jesus
Christ. This is the overriding thought of God regarding His people, which
we are. If you love God and are called according to His purpose, God is
working in the midst of your present condition and circumstances to shape
and mold you in Christ. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly
places in Christ: According as he has chosen us in Him before the foundation
of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ
to Himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. Ephesians 1:3-5
“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed
what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like
Him, for we shall see Him as He is.” 1 John 3:2 In Jesus Christ
we have been made partakers and recipients of His glory. We have received
eternal life through being joined with the eternal Son of God, The Sonship
that we understand and pursue operates in our lives in the present and
yet goes on forever. “And this is the testimony: that God has given
us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life;
he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I
have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you
may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe
in the name of the Son of God. 1 John 5:11-13
In Jesus Christ we are brought into the very character of His eternity,
not only as regards time, but in quality, and spirit and in nature. Eternal
life is not only about unending time; it speaks of the glory of God in
character and in essence. Jesus prayed: “That they all may be one,
as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in
Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You
gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I
in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that
the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have
loved Me.”John 17:21-23
The creature awaits the manifestation of the sons of God. That Sonship
is not as evident as we desire, but it is going to be manifested. “For
nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing
hid, that shall not be known and come into the light.” Luke 8:17
What God has been doing will come out into the light in our conformity
to the image of His Son; because He is the firstborn among many brethren.
We have made and are engaged in assimilating the wisdom and understanding
that has been revealed in past times and ages. We believe that we are
a new generation. We believe that the times in which we live are unique
and that we have been anointed to seek and establish in our lives, the
breakthrough knowledge that God is stirring within us. We are also being
brought back and returning to the fundamentals in our real, personal,
and living knowledge of the Lord Himself. We are acknowledging the difference
between knowing the thoughts of God in our minds, and the Holy Spirit
using that knowledge to bring about God's purpose, plan and process. We
have often quoted: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered
into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who
love Him." Such is His means also as we are being conformed to the
image of His Son. The Spirit of God will continue the work that He has
come to do in us. “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ
Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk
in them. Ephesians 2:10
