A RIVER OUT OF
EDEN
INTRODUCTION:
In these Genesis teachings we are experiencing God in such a measure
and
dimension that we not only have the assurance of forgiveness of our
sins
but beyond that we receive cleansing from sin, which means removal of
the very consciousness of sin. Ultimately God is going to bring a
people
through the veil of His rent Body and bring them to where the very
nature
of sin that works in their members will be cut off and removed. This
will
be manifested in a Son Company people who receive the reality of all
that
the atonement has provided.
Gen. 2:8-14, "And the Lord God planted a garden eastward,
in
Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the
ground
made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight,
and
good for food, the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and
the
tree of knowledge of good and evil. And a river went out
of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was
parted, and became into four heads. The name of the first is Pison:
that
is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx
stone.
And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that
compasseth
the whole land of Ethiopia. And the name of the third river is
Hiddekel:
that is it, which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth
river
is Euphrates."
NATURAL VISION VS. SPIRITUAL VISION:
There is a great difference between the carnal mind producing a natural
vision and the spiritual mind. We are aware of how there are
representations
in Scripture - figures of spiritual realities. These spiritual
realities
are brought forth in the language of the physical and natural world.
Some
of these representations are hard to be understood as stated in II
Peter
3:15-16.
Paul saw more in the work of creation than the usual history and
information.
He saw it as a figure of another creation work
II Cor. 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine
out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the
light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
"
(Examples of these representations are:)
Earth: Can often be a representation of earthy people, men; for
the first
man Adam was of the earth, earthy. So many times what is represented by
the earth is your earth.
Adam: A type and shadowing forth of Spirit man, the second man,
the Lord
from Heaven.
Eve: a type of the feminine realm, the soul, which can be taught
on so
many levels. You can talk about the woman as the Church, the woman the
soul, the woman the wife, etc.
Romans 5:14, "Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to
Moses,
even over
them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression,
who is the figure of him that was to come."
River: The primary principle conveyed to us in the River which
begins
in Genesis and ends in Revelation; is a type of the out-flowing of God
the living Word. Where ever this river flows there are precious
materials
such as gold, pearl, and onyx.
Tree of Life: begins in the garden where the river flows out
from and
where man is placed. Man's history begins and ends at the same tree of
life and the same river of life.
Holy City: a people who have become the dwelling place of the
fullness
of God, whose nature is that of gold, divine nature. Paul said we must
build with precious stones, not wood, hay, and stubble. We find the
building
materials where ever the river flows out from the Tree of Life.
Gate: each gate of the Holy City was a pearl, which speaks of an
entrance
into a higher realm of Christ, an unfolding of the Christ nature from
within flowing out from the throne where the river flows.
Life: The living Word, the Spirit of Life comes from the Tree of Life
and flows out to all as a river. Anyone living outside of this Tree of
Life is in a state of dying. We must return to Paradise to live.
