John 1:12-13 "For as many
as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even
to them that believe on His name: who were born not of blood, nor of the
will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." We have been
born of God - we are totally unique. We can see God's will in the world
and we pursue transformation. The goal of our lives is to fashion a dwelling
place for God within the realities of everyday experience. We are inspired
by vision and the promises of God. The Spirit of God guides us. The dwelling
that God seeks requires our determination and commitment. God has chosen
us to be coworkers and participants in creation. Existence is transformed
as we express Him. That is what makes it complete.
The power of creativity that
we have been granted from God appears within the work that He has given
us. When we, by the power of Jesus Christ, transform our own will, and
then undertake to transform our surroundings, God reveals His dwelling
within us. Jesus said: "If you love me, you will keep my words: and
my Father will love you, and we will come unto you, and make our abode
with you. John 14:23
God has always sought a dwelling place on earth,
therefore He has joined three realities together: God Himself, His Word,
and His people. As we serve God and express Him by the Spirit we reveal
the intention of God. We show that the world does not exist for itself,
but to become a dwelling place for God. It is our commitment to make of
the world a dwelling place for God. We know that whatever exists does
so because He exists. There is no power but of God.
God has always been revealing
His intention through a people. "You are my witnesses, saith the
LORD, and my servants whom I have chosen: that you may know and believe
me, and understand that I am He: before me there was no God formed, neither
shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is
no Savior. I have declared, and I have saved, and I have showed, when
there was no strange god among you: therefore you are my witnesses, that
I am God - saith the LORD. Yea, before the day was I am He; and there
is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall stop
it? Isaiah 43:10-13
1 John 3:2 "Beloved, now
are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but
we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall
see him as He is." When the truth appears it is evident that it is
true. Jesus Christ through His body removed the last barrier to total
oneness with God. Now this enlarged Body of Christ that we are is in the
process of formation and manifestation. This Body shall reveal the full
glory of Christ in the same manner that the Jesus revealed the full glory
of the Father. We are being brought into a fuller experience of the Essence
and substance of God. We have been promised a communion in the body that
eye has not seen beyond what the mind can image.
Paul prayed:" That we
may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length,
and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge,
that we might be filled with all the fullness of God." Ephesians
3:18-19 This prayer was the expressed desire of the Holy Spirit dwelling
within Paul, inspiring him to pray this prayer, the Spirit earnestly desiring
that God's people might comprehend and lay hold upon the enormity of what
God has promised. In this day the Father is preparing the Body of Christ--which
is His Body, a joining of His people to the Lord Jesus, who is the Head.
We possess a living hope that keeps us walking in His Way. We have heard
the Word that God has spoken. We believe that God is bringing forth a
body for Christ, out from a redeemed and transformed humanity. Christ
is causing us to become deeply rooted in Him, and so "grow up into
Him -into Christ- in all things, for He is the head" of the body
Ephesians 4:15.
It will be seen that we are One with God...
and we will speak the same thing. Not because we belong to the same church
or fellowship, or have listened to the same teachings, but because we
have been joined together in a living relationship with the same Lord.
The way before us is glorious.
We are learning to walk and move with the Lord. When He stretches forth
His hands to minister, we will know to stretch forth our hands. When He
speaks, we will speak. When He is silent, we are silent.
When He moves forward, we move forward. Paul assures us, that by the Spirit,
we are learning to be laborers together with God, we are His field, and
we are God's building. 1 Corinthians 3:9
God is continually transforming
us, going to the depths of what we are in order to prepare for Himself
a people who will be willing and equipped to totally follow Him; a people
that He can entrust with power in heaven and in earth (to go about doing
good - undoing the works of corruption). A people who will, by His plan
put the last enemy under their feet. We anticipate that: "The eyes
of our understanding being enlightened; that we may know what is the hope
of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in
the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us
who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked
in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right
hand in the heavenly places. Ephesians 1:18-23 That power is at work
in us.
