We want to experience the fullness of the salvation that we have received
in Jesus Christ. 'To be found in Him, not having our own righteousness,
which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the
righteousness, which is of God by faith: Not as though we had already attained,
either were already perfect: but we follow after, if that we may apprehend
that for which also we have been apprehended of Christ Jesus. We press toward
the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 3:9,12,14
We want to appear with Jesus Christ as manifest Sons of God on Earth. "When
Christ, who is our life, shall appear, and then shall we also appear with him
in glory." Colossians 3:4 Paul, by revelation, was assured that it
was God's intention to have a people, to whom He would be known as both
Lord and God. John saw that in His appearing we would be like Him for we
would see Him as He is. Peter declared that in His appearing we would be
crowned with His glory that does not fade away. Jesus prayed that we would
experience His relationship with the Father.
Our confidence that such a change is possible is founded in the sure word
of scriptures that declares that we can be transfigured by the renewing
of our minds. We believe that God has given us an example in Jesus' transfiguration
described in Matthew 17, when that which was within Him became apparent.
Knowing that Jesus Christ within us is the promise of such an appearing,
we pursue that high calling. What He was has appeared, so we pursue His appearing.
Our, boldness and determination are founded in the fact that we know that
we are called and chosen that "we may
come in the unity of the faith, and in he knowledge of the Son of God, unto
a perfect man,
unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ." (Ephesians
4:13) We know that we are living in a day that God has appointed for the
manifestation of His plan and purpose in a manner that has not been seen
before.
We know that 'The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world,
and they that dwell therein." God established the earth that He might
have a people. We believe we are such a people living in a day of expectation.
'The earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing
of the sons of God." Romans 8:19
" And we have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after
the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew,
circumcision or non-circumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, neither bond nor free: but
Christ is all, and in all.
God's intention when He created this universe out of nothing is that Christ
be all, and in us all, by our reception of the Holy Spirit. Jesus described
the mediating operation of the Spirit in John 16:13-15.
"Howbeit when
He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for
He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall
He speaks: and He will show you things to come. He shall glorify me: for
He shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you. All things that the
Father has are mine: therefore I said, that He shall take of mine, and shall
show it to you." John 14:23
It is God's desire to reveal that the creation exists and continues to endure
so that it may reveal the glory and Lordship of Jesus Christ. "All
things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was
made." John 1:3 " and in Him all things hold together."
Colossians 1:17
Without the plan and intention that Jesus Christ be glorified,
and we with Him, creation loses its meaning. Two aspects of the glorification
of Jesus Christ is the revealing of the sons of God and the deliverance
of the creation from the bondage of corruption. The creation will realize
and come into its true identity as we appear in Him and obtain ours.
In Him alone is it possible, therefore we have been called and appointed
to take off the old man and put on Christ as it is revealed that Christ
is all, and in all. It is God's intention that we be conformed to the image
of His Son. We were born for this purpose.
We have been redeemed through the Cross of Jesus Christ. We have entered
into His death and resurrection. In our maturity and Christian growth we
seek after Him who is all, and in all. We are saved. We are being saved and
we are being delivered from ourselves. We shall be saved, revealing He
is all, and in all.
It is to be revealed in His people. 'Therefore we reckon
that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with
the glory that shall be revealed in us." (Romans 8:18) "And He
shall come to be glorified in His saints, and to be admired in all them
that believe." 2 Thessalonians. 1:10
We have the assurance that He
can turn vision into manifest reality. Peter says, speaking of Jesus, 'Though
you have not seen him, yet you love Him. (Faith enables us to do that because
we see Him by the Spirit) "And even though you do not see Him now,
you believe in Him and
are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving
the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls." He has appeared,
He is appearing, and He shall appear. As we see Him we can be made like Him
for we see Him as He is.
