As a way of introducing the theme of this book" Exceeding
Boundaries."
I ask you to imagine, the last few years of your life have been devoted
to study, education and the physical disciplines necessary to qualify for
travel into tie infinite reach of outer space. The moment has arrived and
right now you are being strapped into a seat on the space shuttle orbiter
about to be launched beyond your ordinary world and life.
You realize one day through the effort you and others are making everyone
will be able to experience this, though right now only a chosen few
qualify
having endured the training necessary to become an astronaut. (Star
Traveler)
You know that whatever obstacles or potential dangers you may face, are
worth risking in order to be a pioneer for a better world tomorrow and
today.
Intensely involved with the things necessary for takeoff yet aware of
every
moment, as the countdown proceeds in the background your mind cannot help
but think of the steps that brought you to this point when suddenly a
thunderous
roar can be heard from the rocket engines. The whole cabin and everyone
in it is shaking with strong vibration from the power. A gaseous pillar
of fire arises as lift off occurs and over three million pounds of rocket
thrust begins to propel the five million pound craft filled with the most
advanced technology known to man up and away from the launch pad and
beyond
the reach of earth's gravitational pull.
In less than eight minutes you have entered orbit and an environment that
has no resemblance to the one you have originated from with no easy way
to describe the awesome view from where you sit, traveling at speeds
faster
than our natural minds can grasp.
You are EXCEEDING BOUNDARIES. Going beyond everywhere you have been
before.
Such is the nature of what you are about to read. Such is the nature of
God's promise to us. The revelation knowledge of Christ that flows
through
these pages are a divine propellant to catch us by the Spirit into INNER
space beyond the veil of flesh and discover the present Ruth of God's
Kingdom
Within us for Today. God has a plan and purpose for His beloved children
that can only be described as EXCEEDING BOUNDARIES.
Ephesians 1:17-20 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the
Father
of glory,
may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of
him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know
what
is the hope of his calling, ...
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who
believe,
according to the working of his mighty power
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set
him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.
THE ROAD BEYOND SPACE AND TIME:
All at once it happened, I passed from space and time,
Went right through a hole that opened up inside my mind
Found myself inside myself, then I realized,
It was a journey into light
ON THE ROAD AGAIN:
Many believe that faith and spiritual life is vague, cosmic or ethereal
in nature. However true spirituality has a practical sense to it. God
teaches
us to know Him by things we can grasp. So that if we learn to observe
some
of our own natural ways we may also see into their spiritual meaning as
well.
Driving late into the night during a ministry tour across the USA, Scott
(friend and brother in Christ) and I were traveling along Interstate 90
from Seattle, Washington, through the mountains on our way to Peoria,
Illinois.
The Holy Spirit spoke "Peter now is the time to Exceed Boundaries,
I have been preparing my people that I might show them things that the
natural
mind has not seen about my plans and purpose for today. Are you ready to
walk in a new and living way before me."
I was immediately caught away deep in thought to what the Spirit was
showing
me. What did the Lord mean by this? As we drove passing over the
Continental
Divide at the 6, 300 foot level the Lord said, "All truth is
Parallel."
You are doing things on a natural order that only a short time ago would
not have been possible to do." God said, "Peter, in this same
way my anointing will empower you and all who receive this testimony to
exceed their boundaries."
Of course I knew what the word exceed meant but for the record I have
included
its definition from Webster's Collegiate Dictionary followed by the
meaning
from the Greek New Testament.
EXCEED implies: going beyond a limit set by authority or
established by custom
or by prior achievement.
1: to extend outside of the river will exceed its banks
2: to be greater than or superior to suggests superiority in quality,
merit,
or skill.
3: to go beyond a limit set by implies a rising or extending notably
above
or beyond ordinary limits
G4052 meplooeuw perisseuo from 4053; increase, to exceed a fixed number
of measure, to be left over and above a certain number or measure 1a) to
be over, to remain 1b) to exist or be at hand in abundance 2) a thing
which
comes in abundance, something falls to the lot of one large measure 1c)
to abound, overflow 1c1) to be abundantly furnished with, to have in
abundance,
abound in c2) to be pre-eminent, to excel 1c3) to excel more than exceed
2) "Abounding" is used of a flower going from a bud to full
bloom.
NO LIMITS:
I was aware the Spirit was revealing something powerful: but how it would
be applied was difficult to grasp. After all, there are limits on our
lives
everywhere and in every dimension. Having limits on behavior is what
helps
keep society decent and in order. There are rules of law that limit the
coming and going of every facet of life and business in order to allow
the
free course of citizens in a culture that respects the property of
others.
There are borders separating nations, states and cities. County lines,
townships
and boundaries from house to house.
RULES OF THE ROAD:
When you are driving from state to state and have hundreds of miles to
go
you get a real sense of the limit on your forward motion. First there is
the speed limit. Go faster than you are allowed, you risk being caught,
getting stopped, and receiving a summons. Ask me how I know?
