We are a people who are
committed to transformation. We believe in the manifestation
of the sons of God. We prepare ourselves for the manifest appearing of Jesus
Christ within a living people. Our desire for transformation is more than
an appreciation of the benefits we receive as children of the Kingdom but
we are driven and increasingly motivated by Gods desire to have a
dwelling place on earth.
We give God expression through our lives. We show forth the purpose of God
that is hidden regarding His providence and the scope of His intention.
God has purposed to reveal His Lordship. For nothing is secret,
that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known
and come abroad. Luke 8:17 God has made everything for Himself.
Proverbs16: 4 For by Him were all things created, that are in
heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or
dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him,
and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.
Colossians 1:16-17
Everything in creation is for His Divine intent. The truth, that all exists
because He exists, is to be made manifest - that every knee might bow and
every tongue confess that He is Lord. We are a people set aside as the Israel
of God so that everything we do, we might do for the sake of Heaven
for the sake of Gods own desire. We have a great sense of assurance
that God will provide and bring about in our lives that is which for our
benefit. Therefore we commit unto God all our concerns and needs. We have
equanimity because we know that have found union with God.
We have
set the Lord always before us. Because He is at our right hand, we will not
be shaken. Psalm 16:8
We seek to worship and serve God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength
and to manifest that relationship in the world. As we have born the image
of the earthy, so shall we bear the image of the Heavenly.1 Corinthians
15:49 It is God who enables us to envision the transformation of our lives
and maintain the hope of effecting change in the lives of others and in
the world. Know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost
which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? For ye
are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your
spirit, which are God's.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 I beseech you
therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies
a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable
service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of
your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect,
will of God.Romans 12:1-2
The divine service in the Tabernacle of Moses and the Temple was a pattern
for the transformation that God intended. Sacrifice was the entrance into
the grace of God but sacrifice always related to the process that takes
place in the soul of the individual. Paul takes us back to that reality
to deepen our understanding of our relationship to the Lord. The function
of the sacrifices was to bring ones spiritual awareness and feelings
closer to God and was part of ones personal service to God.
Leviticus 1:2 relates the procedure, If a man wants to bring an offering
if he wants to draw near to God, then this is from him, dependent
upon him.
It is something that you chose. The possibility and responsibility
for closeness to God has been granted to you and you must find the will
to do so. Fortunately, God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.
The lesson about sacrifices that the verse teaches is that if one seeks
to draw near to God the capacity to do so is within you.
You shall
offer it of your own voluntary will
Leviticus 1:3 Even under
the First Covenant the sacrificial offering is not only the actual animal
but involves the nature of ones heart.
Paul makes it clear that each
person is faced with a unique challenge and task of transformation. The
Spirit of God is like a fire shut up in our bones consuming that which is
offered on the altar. We are living souls and Christ dwells in the midst
of our humanity. We are called to experience the miracle of loving God with
all our heart and soul. Our souls are learning the ways of God. We are learning
to commit our works unto the Lord, that our ways and thoughts be established.
God declared: And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell with
them. Exodus 25:8We are bringing forth the revelation of the divine
Presence within the sanctuary that is established within us. It is formed
according to the pattern through divine service.
Behold, the tabernacle
of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people,
and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. Revelation
21:3 I have set the Lord always before me: because He is at my right
hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices:
my flesh also shall rest in hope. (Psalm 16:8-9) His glory shall be
seen in the land of the living.
