Galatians 1: Paul states that it pleased God to reveal
His Son in him. That is what has happened to us and it is a progressive
manifestation in the midst of our lives. It is significantly changing us.
It is a process that is ruled by the presence and appearing of the Lord.
We understand how the Lord is gathering a people to Himself. He is the head
and we are the body and we receive life and direction from Him. His Spirit
and Presence join us to Him, and in Him we are united as one people.
We believe that we are living in the day that God is setting up His kingdom
to be seen on earth. The kingdom that God has promised is an eternal kingdom,
with Christ as King. God has dealt to each of us the measure of faith so
that we might participate in manifesting the world to come.
The world was created for the purpose of Jesus Christ, to create a habitation
where God's desire for a dwelling in the world will be realized. We can
rest in the assurance that this purpose and this desire will be accomplished.
God has engaged us in the fulfillment of this purpose, enabling us to become
partners in creation and co-laborers with Christ. As we serve God and express
Him by the Spirit we reveal the intention of God. We show that the world
does not exist for itself, but to become a dwelling place for God. This
is our commitment.
The Holy Spirit has declared the reality of our being a new creation in
Christ, possessing a new life by Him and a new birth that joins us to Him.
We are finding a way to walk in this world - so that His life in us functions
as our life. We have chosen not to be conformed to this world, but to be
transformed by the renewing of our minds, that we may prove what is that
good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. We are relying on the identity
that we experience in Jesus Christ and we are empowered to give expression
to our faith and vision. When we look to Jesus Christ, we know beyond any
doubt that with God all things are possible.
God has imparted the reality of Himself in words. His Word can draw us to
the place where our experience enables us to perceive the pattern within
ourselves that corresponds to that which God has established. God visits
you - He is present. As His Spirit moves upon you - you are able to reflect
the reality presented. And if we can reflect it - it is His intention that
we express it. The Spirit reveals God to the believer but He is hidden from
the world in general. Yet, He intends to reveal Himself.
"In His times
He will show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings,
and Lord of lords; Who alone has immortality, dwelling in the light which
no man can approach unto; whom no man has seen, nor can see: to whom be
honor and power everlasting. Amen.
1 Timothy 6:15-16 God has hidden
Himself and we are called to reveal Him. It is God's intention to fully
reveal the truth of His reign and His existence so that all may see it -
He is doing that through us.
Everything in the heavens and earth came into existence solely from the
truth of His being even though His presence may not be evident. Everything
that exists is an expression of His truth.
"For by Him were all things
created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible,
Whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all
things were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and
by Him all things continue to exist." (Colossians 1:16-17)
"And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them."
(Exodus 25:8) "And the Word was made * flesh, and dwelt among us, (and
we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full
of grace and truth. (John 1:14)
We know that the transformation that we
seek and the work that we do is effected by the presence of the Lord. Moses
was instructed to build according to the pattern shewn him in the mount.
We are discerning the pattern because we are a people that are engaged in
an ordained work of transformation.
The Holy Spirit has revealed the pattern and also directs those that perform
the work. In this we manifest the unique relationship that we enjoy with
each other and with the Spirit of Christ. "For we all work by that
one and selfsame Spirit, that provides gifts to every believer severally
as He will. For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the
members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
(1
Corinthians 12:11-12)
We are enabled to do the work of God by the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit establishes the work on the sure foundation of Jesus Christ
and brings forth the finished work according to His nature.
God intends that each one of His children perceive the Holy Spirit as the
absolute, final authority in their lives. God has given His Spirit to us
for the purpose of leading us into all truth. Just as Christ came to do
only the will of the Father, so the Holy Spirit desires to work in our lives,
bringing us into conformity to Christ's will in all things.
We honor God by manifesting Christ. Each time we gather together - and each
time we pray - each time we study the Word, we submit our lives to God to
work in us. We ask according to the wisdom and knowledge that has been revealed
in us. We believe that the Spirit of Jesus Christ dwells in us and He has
made us a temple of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the manifestation of
the sons of God.
