There is a desire in
many right
now to move into Sonship and an awakening is taking place, awareness, and
sensitivity to present truth. Note: Present truth is affected by time;
God's
methods may change. (Read Matthew 13: 1-23) Matthew 13:1
The same
day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side." Jesus
went
out of the house = limitations - break your borders. This speaks of our
immediate local surroundings - boundary lines. All that is familiar and
comfortable, that which restricts and prevents is our house. We have been
a land governed by moon worship, teachings and traditions, but no more.
We are the Seed of Abraham. He is the pattern. Galatians 4:29,
"And
if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the
promise. Genesis 21:2, "For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham
a son
in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him."
Kindred
speaks of our natural birth as well as our spiritual family, our place of
birth also. Jesus (God) has left His limitations - Israel - and is going
to all people.
The parable in Matthew
13:1-23
is first about the Mystery of the Kingdom. Matthew 13:10-11,
"And
the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in
parables? (11) He answered and said unto them, Because it is given
unto
you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is
not given Mark 4:10-11, "And when he was alone, they that
were about
him with the twelve asked of him the parable. (11) And he said unto
them,
Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but
unto
them that are without, all these things are done in parables:"
Mystery
means initiated, revelation, revealed thoughts, given to those
initiated.
There are two terms; Kingdom of heaven (Matt. 13:11) and
kingdom
of God
(Mark 4:11). Kingdom of heaven tells us where it is from and
Kingdom of
God tells us the boss. In Matthew 13:3 Jesus begins the parable
by saying,
"Behold ... These important truths command our attention and we
should
hold them before us. In verse 9 He says, "Who hath ears to hear,
let him hear.
" The important things
here is not the sower or the seed, but the soils the seed falls into.
These soils speak of the great multitudes and why they came, probably
many different attitudes. " 1. Curiosity - Idle followers. 2.
Self-seeking
- Profitable company. 3. A Revolutionists - or Patriots - make Him King
as a standard against politics. 4. Shallow - no real zeal or deep
longing
5. Fruitful - Drawn by the Father. And then there were those who didn't
even know and never came. Jesus told the people through this parable,
in no uncertain terms, what chance His teaching would have with them
and
why in some there would be nothing. So He speaks that He is the sower
and the Seed of a plain and realm of life higher than they knew. The
fault
is with the soil, not the Sower or the Seed. The ground, which didn't
have
thorns all over it had soil for the seed to grow.
To better understand this
parable
we need to look at Genesis 3:17-19, "And unto Adam he
said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast
eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not
eat
of it; cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of
it all the days of thy life; (18) Thorns also and thistles shall it
bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; (19) In
the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the
ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust
shalt thou return." Eden represents the Kingdom on earth. Free of
weeds = higher state and realm of existence, living above. One
consequence
of the fall = thorns and thistles. Genesis is filled with truth of the
Spirit realm.
In Gen. 3:17 when it
says the
earth was cursed - what earth? (More than just dirt, your earth.) In
Genesis
2:7 it says man was formed of the dust of the ground, first Adam
was earthy.
Thorns and thistles grow right out of carnal mind, a natural product.
It is here a new Seed must be planted, but inherent are weeds. This
earth
will produce nothing, until the Seed is introduced into it and the Seed
needs soil. II John 12:24, "Verily, verily I say unto
you, Except
a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if
it die, it bringeth forth much fruit." Impossible to overlook -
you
are the soil...kingdom not external, but being
birthed within you.
We are so unable to illustrate the greatness of
this
in order to escape the weak and beggarly elements.
Luke 17:21,
"Neither
Shall they Say, Lo here; or lo there! Behold, the kingdom of God
is within you." He's preparing a people today who will yield 30,
60 100, to be the Kingdom, but alas for some Jesus said the cares of
this
life and deceitfulness of riches choke and abort the seed...(to be
continued)
