SEEING THAT WHICH WAS HIDDEN:
Jesus promised Mark 4:22
"There is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was
any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad." God has both
hidden and revealed His intention and desire to have a dwelling place
on earth, in a chosen and prepared people. "God has saved us, and
called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according
to His own purpose and grace, which was established in Christ Jesus before
the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior
Jesus Christ, who has abolished death, and has brought life and immortality
to light through the gospel." 2 Timothy 1:9-10
John 5:22-23 "The Father
judges no man, but has committed all judgment to the Son: That all men
should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honors not
the Son honors not the Father which has sent Him." Judgment is not
only related to God evaluating our deeds, the lack of condemnation and
the forgiveness of sin but also how much of God's light is measured out
in our own lives and measured out through all creation. How much of God's
glory is measured out and revealed is a continual process, and Jesus measures
it out. "For by Jesus were all things created, that are in heaven,
and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones,
or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by
Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things hold
together and have their proper place. (Colossians 1:16-17)
In the beginning God said let
there be light. Jesus measured out how much light there would be. The
first light was spiritual; it was before the sun and it was measured
out. God said, "Let there be light: and there was light." The
infinite light of God does not shine on our minds and hearts fully but
is measured out as wisdom and understanding by the Spirit of the Lord.
It is Jesus who both conceals and reveals the glory of God. Through His
death and resurrection He has enabled the glory of God to be revealed
to us and in us who have received His life and Spirit. "He alone
has immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto;
whom no man has seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power everlasting."
(1 Timothy 6:16) Therefore Christ in us is the hope of glory, for in Him
are all things judged and measured out. It is by Him that living waters
flow from our belly.
The work of the Holy Spirit
is a continual work of measurement, judgment and revelation. "Howbeit
when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth:
for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that
shall He speak: and He will show you things to come. He shall glorify
me: for He shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you. All things
that the Father has are mine: therefore said I, that He shall take of
mine, and shall show it unto you." (John 16:13-15) All judgment is
given unto the Son. His judgment is the process that we feel working in
ourselves. "No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son,
which is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him." (John
1:18) It is Jesus Christ that both hides and reveals. All is hidden in
Him and by Him and for Him. "In whom are hid all the treasures of
wisdom and knowledge." (Colossians 2:3)
We are made in the image of
God. This process of concealing and revealing can be further understood
by a comparison. Within the nature of the soul and the power of the mind
there is also both a potential for revelation and a potential for limitation
and concealment. We see that the essential power of the intellect contains
the potential for revelation, the ability to conceive and express any
intellectual concept. It also possesses the power of limitation, to confine
the scope or revelation of any concept. Thus we see there is a power of
limitation that defines concepts. This power of limitation is an essential
power of intellect itself. Just as that power of the mind is the source
for the revelation of intelligence, to conceive of and reveal all intellectual
ideas, so too, is it the source for the power of limitation that defines
the ideas. Seen from the point of view of a teacher, a preacher, or anyone
seeking to reveal the depth of a concept that they possess, even if they
understand it completely, they need to choose carefully the words used
to transmit the concept to the mind of another. This includes even the
ability for another to grasp the concept at all. Once received the person
can possibly develop it to the fullness of the one who revealed it.
In Jesus Christ the power of
revelation and the power of limitation are both established in the glory
of God. He knows perfectly the intent of God since it is Himself. We have
established that only if you are something can you know it perfectly.
All judgment is committed unto the Son. Jesus Christ is revealing Himself
in us. His existence is the lesson and reality that we are being taught.
He is opening it to our understanding and will yet open it. Our own lives
are transformed into the means to understand His existence. "And
this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life
is in his Son." (1 John 5:11) "For the life was manifested,
and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal
life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us; That which
we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that you also may have fellowship
with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son
Jesus Christ." (1 John 1:2-3)
Jesus determines precisely
the degree of limitation and revelation necessary for the light of His
existence to be revealed in His body. It is this process of limited revelation
that allows for the possibility of a diverse but cohesive creation to
come into existence. He continues to draw us and assures us that: 2 Peter
1:3-4 "His divine power has given unto us all things that pertain
unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that has called
us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and
precious promises: that by these we might be partakers of His divine nature."
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son
of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may
believe on the name of the Son of God." 1 John 5:13 *For more information on this topic simply E-mail
