1 Corinthians 2:9 declares: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither
has entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for
them that love Him." Friendship is something that our heart and soul
understands. It is accessible, for it is Gods intention to engage the totality
of our being.
As we connect with our heart and soul there is a deep transformation and
healing. It is true that the natural man does not receive the things of
the Spirit of God:
neither can he know them, because they are spiritually
discerned, but because of the healing work of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
we have been given back our lives and can experience, in a healthy manner,
the things that are proper for human life such as friendship. God's friendship
touches us, within ourselves, and we are able to receive and respond to
friendship. We are equipped also to be a friend to the Body of Christ.
Abraham believed God. "By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered
up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten
son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting
that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also
he received him in a figure."
Hebrews 11:17-19 God had made promises to Abraham and He connected those
promises to the birth of Abraham's son Isaac. Basically, everything that
Abraham was asked to do was focused in that son. God had made Isaac the
means and vessel of His divine purpose and plan to have a people. Though
Abraham tried, God offered Him no alternative to the birth of Isaac. If
Isaac had not been born, how would Abraham have understood his life? Faith
generates works. Abraham committed himself totally and believed that what
God had promised and ordained He was able to do.
2 Peter 1:19: "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto
you do well that you take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place,
until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts."
God has
given us a promise in Jesus Christ that we should be partakers of His divine
nature. Our lives are bound to Jesus Christ and we await His full appearing.
We pursue transformation and our manifestation as sons of God. We have exceeding
great and precious promised sealed by a blood covenant. We have confidence
in God. The divine plan in Jesus Christ is the substance, purpose, and foundation
of our lives. "Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace;
to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which
is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is
the father of us all." Romans 4:16 We will be able to manifest the
faith that is required to meet the challenges of life.
God is working to bring about a most sublime relationship. Our hearts are
responding to the call and we have a certainty that we will truly experience
the friendship of God. It causes us to have confidence and trust the exercise
of our faith. We increase in confidence regarding ourselves an assurance
of our calling and the reality of making a dwelling place for God on earth.
God is not required to explain everything to us, yet we find "That
in every thing we are enriched by Him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;
Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in us:
So that we come behind in no gift; waiting for the appearing of our Lord
Jesus Christ:
1 Corinthians 1:5-7 Therefore, count not yourselves to have apprehended:
but this one thing do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching
forth unto those things which are before, press toward the mark for the
prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Amen
