"John 1:12-13 "For as many as received Him, to them gave He power to
become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: which were
born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man,
but of God."
We have been born of God therefore we are totally unique. The goal of our
lives is to fashion, by the leading of the Spirit, a dwelling place for
God on earth within the realities of daily experience. We are inspired by
vision and the promises of God.
The Spirit of God guides us - yet the dwelling that God seeks to establish
requires our determination and commitment. That is what makes it complete.
The very nature of our existence is being transformed. The power of creativity
that we have been granted from God is reflected within it.
When we, by the power of Jesus Christ, see our own will transformed, and
then undertake to transform our surroundings, God reveals His dwelling with
man.
John 14:23 Jesus said: "If you love me, you will keep my words: and
my Father will love you, and we will come unto you, and make our abode with
you."
God has always sought a dwelling place. Three realities are interlocked
together: God, His Word, and His people. All three are joined together
All three are partly hidden, and partly revealed. As in the case of the
Lord, so it is with His people and His Word, there are the apparent and
imaginable attributes, and the hidden and inconceivable attributes.
What is conceivable of the Divine Being is that He creates and forms the
universe and its creatures. Creating them from nothing, He constantly maintains
their existence, as it is written: "All things were created by Him,
and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things continue
to exist."Colossians 1:16-17
David exclaimed in Psalms 104:24 - "O LORD, how many and varied are
your works! In wisdom You have made them all: the earth is full of Your
riches." We are a people who live in between. We are partakers of the
world to come and yet we have not yet fully experienced, what we know to
be the promise for those who seek transformation. We are finding a way to
walk in this world - so that His life in us functions as our life.
We have chosen not to be conformed to this world: but to be transformed
by the renewing of our minds, that we may prove what is that good, and acceptable,
and perfect, will of God.
There are two aspects to our walk. We allow His will to become our will,
so that God may fulfill our will as though it were His will. We set aside
our will through His will so that He may help us overcome that which opposes
His will in us. We experience victory in this^ world through identity with
His will.
Setting aside our will because of His means, we can meet the challenge of
foregoing one's own desires in order to know His desire. "Seek first
the kingdom of God, and his righteousness. Matthew 6:33 Making His
will your will is about the formation of one's character so that it reflects
and expresses God's will.
"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
which God has before ordained that we should walk in them." Ephesians
2:10
Through faith we find a way to relate to God who is infinite. Through faith
we step beyond our own intellect and emotion, yet by expressing God we are
rewarded and fulfilled in the realms of intellect and emotion. Through faith
and works, we are joined to God from who flows both unlimited and limited
expression of Himself.
Our transformation is God's way of revealing the breadth, depth, height,
and scope of the finished work of Christ. It is very important that people
like us reveal through themselves the essence of God's existence. Therefore,
we are pressing vigorously - more aggressively toward the mark of the prize
of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Hebrews 11:3 "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by
the word of God, so that things that are seen were not made of things that
already existed." Since there was a time when the worlds did not exist,
even now when it does exist, it exists because God wills that it be. He
alone is true existence. "And this is life eternal, that they might
know You the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."
John 17:3 In many ways God is hidden yet He intends to reveal Himself.
"In His times He will show, who is the blessed and only Potentate,
the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who alone has immortality, dwelling
in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man has seen, nor can
see: to whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen. 1 Timothy 6:15-16
If God were truly revealed as the Creator of Heaven and Earth and the Savior
of mankind the creation, would be drawn to God. Their actions would be an
expression of that awareness. Every knee would bow, and every tongue confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord, but that is not the case in the present.
Deuteronomy 4:35 "Unto you it was shown, that you might know that the
LORD He is God; there is none else beside Him." What is implied is
that together with Him, the world can enjoy true existence. We have been
made co-workers with Christ.
As we serve God and express Him by the Spirit, it reveals the intent of
God that brought into being every created thing. We show that the world
does not exist for itself; but to become part of God's dwelling. God has
dealt to each of us the measure of faith so that we might participate in
manifesting the world to come. This is God's intention.
The world is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God.
